Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior solutions consultant to deliver hybrid cloud and data center services. You will lead client engagements from discovery through implementation, migration, validation, and knowledge transfer while owning technical execution and outcomes.

You will design resilient solutions, guide migrations, conduct health checks, and mentor junior staff. Willingness to travel nationally is required; strong communication and certifications in data protection or virtualization are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; equivalent combination accepted
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise infrastructure projects and owning client-facing technical conversations, solution designs, implementations, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Advanced design and implementation experience with at least one enterprise data protection platform: Veeam, Rubrik, or Commvault
• Working knowledge of backup architecture, immutability, recovery validation, ransomware resilience, and operational recovery practices
• Advanced experience with at least one virtualization platform: VMware vSphere or VMware Cloud Foundation, Nutanix AHV, Microsoft Hyper-V, or HPE Morpheus VM Essentials
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise storage platforms such as Pure Storage, Dell Technologies, NetApp, or HPE
• Knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies and connectivity, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and NVMe-based solutions
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise server platforms such as HPE ProLiant, Cisco UCS, or Dell PowerEdge
• Experience with business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, failover and failback, recovery testing, and cyber recovery solutions aligned with RPO and RTO requirements
• Experience planning and executing system, workload, hypervisor, storage, server, or data protection migrations with cutover, rollback, validation, and risk-management plans
• Working experience with Ansible and/or Terraform
• Strong administration and troubleshooting experience with Windows Server and Linux in enterprise environments
• Knowledge of networking, SAN fabrics, identity, security, monitoring, and cloud connectivity
• Ability to produce low-level designs, implementation plans, migration runbooks, as-built documentation, test plans, and knowledge-transfer materials
• Ability to travel nationally to client sites as required
• One or more applicable data protection, virtualization, storage, compute, or infrastructure certifications listed in the posting
• Excellent written and verbal skills

• Ability to consult with clients to define requirements and scope of work

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from discovery and design through implementation, migration, validation, documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Develop solution designs, implementation plans, standards, and documentation
• Provide subject-matter expertise, technical guidance, recommendations, and customized consulting services
• Lead project teams and own technical project execution
• Design, plan, implement, validate, test, document, troubleshoot, and support client solutions
• Gather client requirements, design solutions, and build proofs of concept and implementations
• Deliver consultative knowledge transfer and documentation to clients
• Coordinate scheduling and engagement management with RMO and PMO
• Perform client assessments, health checks, performance tests, and capacity planning
• Evaluate products and improve processes and delivery practices
• Build client relationships, credibility, trust, satisfaction, and manage expectations
• Mentor and train team members
• Lead data protection, virtualization, infrastructure modernization, migration, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber resiliency engagements
• Translate business, recovery, security, and operational requirements into resilient solution designs and implementation plans
• Proactively manage project risks and dependencies and communicate status, decisions, and recommendations
• Develop and apply automation using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, and vendor APIs
• Maintain technical knowledge and certifications aligned with partner requirements and solution priorities
• No supervisory responsibilities
