Job summary

Capital City College seeks a Cloud & AI Technology Lead to drive cloud-enabled learning and responsible AI adoption. You will design and deliver secure virtual learning environments for CCC staff, learners, and partner colleges across the UK.

You’ll join a supportive team, contribute to architectural decisions, and help implement scalable, accessible tech across multiple sites. This hybrid role requires 3 days on site.

Qualifications

• A degree in computing, software engineering, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data science or a related discipline, or equivalent substantial professional experience.
• At least three years' experience in software development, cloud engineering, platform engineering or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience of designing, configuring and supporting solutions on Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Experience of software development and scripting using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or comparable languages and tools.
• Experience of contributing to technical architecture and translating user requirements into workable solutions.
• Experience of supporting services through design, setup, testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing improvement.
• Practical knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models, APIs and workplace AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical expertise to support cloud-enabled learning and the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence.
• Architect, design, configure and deliver secure, reliable and accessible virtual learning environments.
• Enable CCC staff and learners, and partner college learners, to access state-of-the-art technologies and tools.
