The University of Miami is seeking a Clinical Trials Activation Analyst 3 to work in a hybrid role at the Don Soffer Clinical Research Center in Miami, Florida. This position reviews financial provisions of complex clinical research agreements and negotiates budgets to ensure compliance with UM policies, federal guidelines, and sponsor requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with office software and standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and negotiates financial provisions of complex clinical research agreements.
• Trains and mentors department staff to improve performance.
• Develops Medicare Coverage Analyses for applicable studies.
• Collaborates with investigators, Compliance Office, IRB, and sponsors to ensure compliant budgeting.
• Advises faculty and staff on sponsored research administration.
• Maintains transparent operations and reports progress to leadership.
• Coordinates pre- and post-award activities across departments.
• Mentors analysts and supports onboarding of new hires.
• Keeps current on professional developments and relevant agency updates.
• Assists leadership with reports and training materials, improving efficiency.
• Adheres to policies and safeguards university assets.
