Job summary

Avispa MedOps seeks an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to support thoracic clinical studies through participant coordination, data collection, and study administration at a leading university in Palo Alto. This on-site role evolves into hybrid work with training on-site and later 3–4 days per week.

The candidate will schedule subjects, assist with consent, manage data entry, and perform basic measurements under protocol. Prior CRC experience and EPIC EMR familiarity are valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent.
• Working toward certification(s) in phlebotomy and EKG.
• Valid California non-commercial Class C Driver's License, if applicable.
• On-site clinical research coordinator experience.
• Experience with oncology treatment trials.
• Experience using EPIC electronic medical Record systems.
• General knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and contact subjects for appointments and reminders; assist with screening, recruitment, and consent.
• Prepare and process study questionnaires and tests; code data and review forms for completeness.
• Maintain regulatory documents, consent forms, and subject logs.
• Perform basic patient measurements and tests (vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG) as trained.
• Order and maintain equipment, process study payments, and assist with post-study activities.
