Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Clinical Informatics Manager to lead the informatics team and collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to improve patient safety, quality, and workflow efficiency. The role is hybrid, requires on‑site presence, and focuses on translating healthcare challenges into technology‑enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical, healthcare, information technology, business, information systems or related field.
• Master’s degree or doctorate in informatics, nursing, pharmacy, business or other healthcare related/clinical field preferred.
• Project management experience required and proficiency with electronic health records.
• Minimum of five years nursing, allied health, healthcare informatics or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, direct, and coordinate all informatics and clinical effectiveness activities to optimize workflows.
• Lead informaticists and coordinate with clinicians, leadership and IT to align priorities.
• Oversee projects to reduce variability in care and realize cost savings through evidence‑based practices.
• Develop policies and processes to support transparency, engagement and innovation in system design.

Education

Bachelor's degree in clinical/healthcare/IT/IS
