Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Clinical Engineering Manager who will supervise a team of 20 full‑time engineers responsible for the implementation and maintenance of networks, systems and applications managed by MGB Biomedical Engineering. You will align the clinical engineering program with agency strategic goals and supervise staff to deliver high-quality services.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 8–10+ years in engineering, systems or IT, with Biomedical Engineering experience

Qualifications

• Advanced Knowledge in biomedical systems and applications, their testing/maintenance and diagnostic repair.
• Excellent communication skills to enable building relationships with others and share information effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve issues with medical equipment.
• Excellent team building skills to collaborate with multiple health care providers.
• Display strong leadership and communication skills to clearly manage and oversee the program operations.
• Possess a high level of technical expertise in clinical engineering to analyze and problem solve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff hiring, work allocation, training and performance management.
• Monitor, problem-solve and implement quality improvement initiatives that support program goals.
• Monitor and evaluate new technologies in clinical settings.
• Troubleshooting problems with equipment or processes to identify causes and solutions.
• Establishing and maintaining standards for operating equipment according to industry guidelines.
• Oversee and coordinate equipment problem solving, repairs and replacement.
• Ensure preventive maintenance on equipment is performed.
