Job summary

The Clerical Clinical Medical Assistant at Covenant HealthCare provides clinical and administrative support across multiple locations in one shift. You will record vital signs, manage patient data, schedule appointments and collect co-pays, while following confidentiality standards and HIPAA requirements.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a MA program or 1 year of related experience, and BLS certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Competency-based Medical Assistant training or 1 year clinical/admin experience.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and update medical records.
• Assist providers during examinations as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-payments.
• Perform basic clinical procedures and prep specimens.
• Pre-charting as needed and manage lab coordination.
• Administer medications and injections per policy.
• Coordinate imaging, labs, EKGs per policy.
• Verify demographics and insurance information.
