Job summary

Ropes & Gray LLP seeks a Manager of Client Operations Services & Legal Project Management to guide matter management for lawyers, clients and staff. You will promote scoping, budgeting, reporting and efficiency across practices while collaborating with Finance, Business Development and Knowledge Management teams.

You will leverage data storytelling and technology to optimize service delivery, ensuring alignment with client priorities and firm strategy in a global, hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Must maintain strict confidentiality of firm information and client data.
• Able to build relationships and influence across practice groups.
• Able to convey solutions within a legal project management framework and gain buy-in.
• Comfortable working in a multi-office, diverse environment.
• Willingness to travel and operate in a global law firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of one or more practices and aligns support with priorities.
• Leads client relationship and practice group support with analysts and Infrastructure team.
• Designs and implements processes and tools addressing client priorities and enhances relationships.
• Maintains resources to communicate cost and scope of legal work and monitor run rates.
• Advocates for legal project management best practices including scoping and budgeting.
• Collaborates with peers to design innovative solutions and facilitate process improvement.
• Uses data storytelling to analyze metrics and advise lawyers.
