Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in Beaverton/Tigard, OR. You’ll learn to manage a full case load, determine coverage and liability, and work with customers over the phone in a hybrid environment with in-office and remote days.

The role includes thorough training on property damage and insurance contracts, with ongoing coaching from leaders. After training, you’ll rotate schedules and engage with a supportive team to advance your development and career.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
