Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in a hybrid role, supporting customers over the phone and learning the end-to-end claims process. You will work in-office part-time with the option to work remotely for the rest, under coaching from leaders and a collaborative team.

The program includes in-depth training on property damage and insurance contracts, with duties spanning coverage, liability, interviews, appraiser coordination, and settlement negotiations.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
