Job summary

GenStar Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a Claims Executive to handle litigated and non-litigated casualty claims from inception to closure in accordance with best practices. The role is based in our offices in Stamford, CT, with optional locations in Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL and a hybrid schedule requiring three days in the office.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years insurance technical claim handling experience.
• Industry designations/course work a plus

Responsibilities

• The Claim Executive will provide high level technical claim handling and support to GenStar clients and insureds, mitigate losses, address and resolve coverage issues and provide guidance to internal and external clients.
• Handles all claims proactively, addressing coverage, liability and damages to timely set reserves and mitigate exposures.
• Prepares prompt, thorough and articulate reports for clients, insureds and management and provides underwriters with valuable client information.
• Maintains adjuster licenses and keeps continuing education current.
• Travels as required and adheres to guidelines and industry standards.
• Attends settlement conferences, mediations, ADR, and trials as warranted.
