Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in Wilmington, NC. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote work, during a 12-month training period that builds skills in coverage, liability, and claims handling.

You’ll interview customers, work with appraisers, and manage a full case load while gaining in-depth licensing and insurance contract knowledge. A structured coaching program and supportive leadership help you grow toward independent, effective claim decisions.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
