Job summary

Progressive is hiring a claims adjuster trainee in Massachusetts. You will learn to handle a full case load, determine coverage and liability, interview customers and witnesses, and coordinate with appraisers to manage vehicle repairs as part of a collaborative team.

The role is hybrid for 12 months with in-office days set by leadership; after training, attendance may be required for meetings and training. Prior to start, you must reside within 30 miles of Canton, Westborough, or Woburn offices.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience with an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (fault)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
