Job summary

Progressive in Greensboro, NC seeks a claims adjuster trainee to learn how to help customers after an accident and to manage claims over the phone. The hybrid role blends in-office days with remote work, under a 12-month training plan with coaching from leaders.

During training you will interview claimants, determine coverage and liability, coordinate with appraisers, and negotiate with customers and carriers. Licensing is required to adjust claims for Progressive.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree
• Licensing exam required to adjust claims for Progressive
• Hybrid work environment with in-office two days per week and flexible other days
• Resident within 60 miles of Greensboro, NC office

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
