Job summary

Barasch & McGarry is seeking a Claim Administrator/Client Advocate to guide clients through the Victim Compensation Fund, gather documentation, and navigate program requirements with empathy and clarity. You will serve as the primary contact, record case information, and coordinate with attorneys and staff to support timely outcomes.

The role is on-site Monday–Thursday with optional remote Fridays, offers a salary between $55,000 and $80,000, and requires 2+ years client-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
• 2+ years client-facing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients with compassion and professionalism.
• Collect and process required documentation from clients and third-party organizations with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Accurately record and maintain case information in internal systems.
• Submit and support client requests in accordance with program rules and SLAs.
• Respond to client and internal requests in a timely and prioritized manner.
• Collaborate with Supervisors, Attorneys, and other departments to ensure accurate claim work.
• Utilize CMS and third-party portals while adhering to data-security standards.
• Submit escalations and follow internal approval workflows to minimize delays.
• Maintain workflow discipline and contribute to process consistency.
• Adapt to evolving program requirements to ensure alignment with expectations.
• Manage sensitive client interactions with empathy and professionalism.
• Communicate progress and insights to leadership.
• Participate in continuous improvement to streamline processes or enhance client experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
