Job summary

VAA LLC is seeking a Civil Technician to join our Minneapolis team and support designers and engineers from concept through construction documents with CAD drafting and standard-compliant drawings.

You will set up plans, identify redlines, and help maintain project archives, with occasional travel to job sites. A certificate in construction/drafting or 1 year of related experience is considered for the role.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher.
• OR at least 1 year of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up plans, sections and details to CAD standards under the direction of others.
• Identify redlines on drawings created by others and accurately make required changes.
• Enhance design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise.
• Coordinate plotter maintenance and project archiving as requested.
• May require occasional travel to construction job sites.
