Rimkus is seeking Civil/Structural Engineers experienced in residential and commercial structures for a hybrid role combining field work and home-office tasks. You will investigate properties, perform forensic analyses, and prepare comprehensive reports for litigation and claims. Strong data interpretation, client communication, and proficiency with engineering software are essential.

The position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a P.E.

Qualifications

• B.S. Civil Engineering degree required or higher.
• P.E. license required.
• 2–10+ years of experience; project management and/or field investigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Perform forensic assignments within civil engineering based on scope of work and client budget.
• Conduct field investigations to determine causes of construction defects or failures.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, repair scope, and remediation; provide opinions/testimony as needed.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with experts to produce client reports on schedule.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during project execution and fieldwork.
• Utilize various software and measurement tools to support analysis and reporting.
