Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking Civil and Structural Engineers for hybrid work from field, home, and office locations. The role focuses on residential and commercial structures with forensic engineering expertise for insurance, legal, industrial, and other clients.

Responsibilities include determining cause/origin of failures, writing reports, and providing expert testimony. Field investigations and project management are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. license required.
• 2–10+ years of experience; project management/field investigation preferred.
• Licenses/certifications may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Perform field civil-engineering assignments per client scope and budget.
• Study cause/origin of construction defects or structural failures.
• Prepare written reports and provide opinions or testimony.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with experts.
• Ensure safety procedures on site are followed.
• Apply design/drafting software, testing devices, surveying methods.
• Follow land use laws and regulations.
• May supervise and evaluate junior staff.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Document on-site conditions with photos and review historical docs.
