Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Civil OSP Design Engineer / Specialist to support planning, design, and QA of telecom outside plant infrastructure. Focus areas include underground conduit networks for fiber optic deployments, data center connectivity, and utility projects, with Civil 3D software for design and validation.

This fully remote role requires collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, utility stakeholders, and permitting agencies across regions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field within the telecom/OSP domain or equivalent experience.
Experience with underground conduit design and civil infrastructure projects is preferred.
Proficiency with Civil 3D and related software for design reviews and modeling.
Knowledge of utility coordination, permitting, and right-of-way processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Develop and review underground OSP designs for fiber optic deployments.
Design conduit systems, duct banks, manholes, and associated civil infrastructure.
Perform route evaluation and constructability assessments across projects.
Coordinate with utilities, permitting bodies, and construction teams.
Produce construction drawings, profile sheets, and permit packages.
