Baker Law Group in Austin, Texas is seeking a Civil Litigation Paralegal with 2–5 years of civil litigation experience to join our growing team. This full-time, hybrid role involves owning case organization, deadlines, discovery, filings, and trial preparation, with collaboration across attorneys and staff.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and capable of independent work while staying aligned with the team.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of civil litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience with Texas courts and filing procedures.
• Knowledge of Texas civil litigation processes and deadlines.
• Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, exhibits, and other litigation documents.
• Strong calendaring and deadline-management skills.
• Experience assisting with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Excellent drafting, proofreading, editing, and document-formatting abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage several active matters and competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Support attorneys handling a broad range of Texas civil matters.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files from opening through resolution.
• Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, notices, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Manage e-filing in Texas state and federal courts.
• Calendar hearings, depositions, discovery deadlines, trial dates, and other case milestones.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, vendors, witnesses, and other outside parties.
• Enter time accurately and promptly in accordance with firm billing procedures.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and firm leadership.
