Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant in Austin to support civil litigation matters from filing through trial preparation. The role demands 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines and case documentation with minimal supervision.

The position is hybrid (4 days in office) with a compensation range of $55,000–$65,000 and performance-based time tracking.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience.
• Experience with civil litigation and e-filing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and case documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and e-file pleadings and other legal documents in Texas state and federal courts.
• Review pleadings and court rules to calendar deadlines and tasks.
• Draft petitions, answers, complaints, motions, orders, discovery requests, subpoenas.
• Coordinate and serve discovery requests and document productions.
• Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including exhibit organization.
• Schedule court reporters, videographers, mediators, and other services.
• Record billable time accurately and consistently.
