Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Civil Design engineer to develop 3D civil layout drawings for power plant projects. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver detailed civil design deliverables using CAD tools.

The role supports design phases across grading, drainage, and site layouts, with heavy emphasis on 3D modeling and cross-disciplinary coordination. Join a team delivering innovative engineering solutions with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of detailed design experience in the development of civil design drawings.
• Proficiency with design software tools in executing 3D plant layout models.
• Experience in the review of civil layout drawings for all phases of grading, regrading, and final grading.
• Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process.
• CAD software skills valued but not required: Bentley Microstation, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Navisworks, ArcGIS/Globalmapper.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams to develop 3D models of civil grading and structures.
• Develop civil layout drawings in a 3-D model and produce CAD deliverables.
• Coordinate detailed design phases for integrated 2D/3D civil design models including underground piping and building entryways.
• Assist in erosion control, traffic plans, and waterway/drainge enhancements as part of the civil design scope.
• Provide support to other designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely design.
