WHEDco in the Bronx seeks a mission-focused Chief Operating Officer to strengthen internal operations, implement scalable systems, and elevate staff capacity across Housing and Real Estate, IT, and Bronx CookSpace programs. This hybrid role reports to the President and requires steady leadership in a growing nonprofit.

Competenze

• At least 15 years of professional experience with a minimum of five years in senior leadership.
• Expertise in organizational management including finance and systems with strategic planning, budgeting and reporting.
• Experience with government affordable housing programs and/or asset management is strongly preferred.
• Excellent financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpretive skills.
• A high level of integrity and emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience developing high-performing teams.
• Experience in values-driven nonprofit organizations and mission alignment.

• Strategic Leadership: develop and implement three-year plans with Executive and VP teams.
• Internal Operations: oversee budgeting, risk management, and staff operations across programs.
• Grant support and budget documentation assistance.
• Asset and real estate portfolio oversight; manage leases and capital projects.
