Job summary

Aligned Talent Acquisition seeks a Corporate M&A Associate Attorney for an AmLaw 100 opportunity in Chicago with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will handle mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters. 2–6 years of transactional experience, a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, and Illinois bar admission are required. The role offers high-caliber deal exposure and direct client interaction.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of corporate transactional experience.
• Significant experience with mergers and acquisitions.
• Experience representing strategic buyers and sellers, private companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and other corporate clients.
• Experience with stock and asset acquisitions, dispositions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and ancillary transaction documents.
• Experience conducting and managing legal due diligence.
• Ability to coordinate sophisticated transactions from initial diligence through closing.
• Experience advising clients on general corporate and governance matters is a plus.
