Job summary

GHD is hiring an Environmental Chemistry Data Validator/Laboratory Coordinator to support a wide range of projects in the United States. This hybrid role requires three days in the office per week across US locations, with responsibilities spanning data validation, QA/QC, and lab coordination.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry degree and 5+ years of environmental analytical chemistry experience, including GC/MS and PFAS analyses.

Qualifications

Bachelor or higher in chemistry or related field.
5+ years environmental analytical chemistry experience, laboratory bench chemistry preferred.
Experience validating high resolution GC/MS and PFAS analyses; familiarity with EPA methods.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and in teams across the Americas.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support in environmental analytical chemistry for diverse clients and projects.
Perform data verifications and validations using USEPA and regional guidance; prepare data validation reports and assist with QAPPs.
Assist lab coordination and selection of analytical methods based on QA/QC parameters.
Monitor turnaround times and ensure data meets project data quality objectives.
Deliver and be accountable for data quality assessments and project objectives.
Utilize professional decision-making, communication, time management and technical skills.
Collaborate with internal project teams and external consultants and laboratories.
