We are looking for an Environmental Chemistry Data Validator/Laboratory Coordinator to join our team of dedicated professionals. The role is open for any of our US offices. Position would be Hybrid (3 days in office per week).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in the area of environmental analytical chemistry to project teams working within a diverse range of industry and federal clients on a broad portfolio of projects.
- Perform data verifications and validations using USEPA and regional guidance; prepare data validation reports; and assist with the preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs).
- Assist project teams with laboratory coordination and selection of analytical methodology based on project specific QA/QC parameters.
- Monitor laboratory turnaround times and ensure that data meets the project specified data quality objectives.
- Deliver and be accountable for technical assignments involving data quality assessments and ensure that project objectives are met.
- Utilize your professional decision-making, communication, time management and technical skills.
- Collaborate across the organization with internal project teams, as well as with outside consultants and laboratories.
Qualifications
- 4-year Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in chemistry (preferred) or related field.
- 5+ years environmental analytical chemistry experience (laboratory bench chemistry preferred).
- Preferred candidate will have experience validating high resolution gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and PFAS analyses; experience with environmental analytical data review; familiarity with USEPA analytical methodologies; and knowledge of regional quality standards used for decision making. Previous experience with data validation and preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plan documents is a plus.
- Candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at a personal and technical level.
- Position requires candidate to be a well-organized, self-starter that can prioritize work assignments to deliver on time and within budget.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and with team members across the Americas.

- Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee.

Salary Range: $60,500.00 - $80,700.00 based on experience and location.
