The State of Illinois seeks a Chief Fiscal Officer and Chicago Operations Manager to lead budgeting, financial reporting, and administrative operations for the Chicago office. The role requires directing budget cycles, managing expenditures, and ensuring compliance with FCIAA and related laws.

The incumbent will supervise staff, coordinate with the Executive Inspector General, and oversee procurement, IT, and facilities while handling highly confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related area of study.
• Advanced knowledge of or experience with accounting standards (GAAP) and budgeting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications.

Responsabilités

• Serve as principal budget and accounting advisor to the EIG and senior management.
• Develop, manage, and analyze accounting, budget, and appropriations.
• Monitor compliance with laws and regulations including FCIAA, Procurement Code, and related mandates.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and perform cost/benefit analyses.
• Oversee fiscal year-end close and financial reporting.
