CarePlus Pharmacy Inc. in Houston is seeking a highly motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician / Executive Assistant to support both pharmacy operations and executive leadership at our Houston location.

This dual-role role requires multitasking, discretion, and flexibility to support pharmacy and business needs in a growing LTC and Infusion Pharmacy. The position involves prescription processing, data entry, inventory and billing support, and executive scheduling, along with coordinating

Qualifications

• Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration in good standing.
• Current national Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
• Confidentiality and discretion in handling patient records and company information.
• Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities in a growing healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, data entry, medication preparation, and dispensing support under supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles, prescription records, and pharmacy documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, purchasing, receiving, stocking, and expiration tracking.
• Support insurance billing, claim processing, prior authorizations, and related follow-ups.
• Coordinate with pharmacists, providers, nursing facilities, and patients to ensure timely medication services.
• Coordinate medication delivery as needed.
• Follow Texas Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and company policies.
• Support workflow improvements, quality assurance, and daily operational efficiency.
• Provide direct executive and administrative support to leadership, including calendar management and reports.
• Prepare communications, coordinate meetings, and manage vendor relations.
• Maintain confidentiality of company operations and employee information.
