Placements24 is seeking a Catering Event Manager to oversee planning and execution of diverse catering events across Upington. You will work with clients from consultation to completion, coordinating with chefs, service staff, and vendors to ensure exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in event management, catering, or hospitality.
• Proven ability to plan and execute successful catering events.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
• Proficiency with event planning software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end planning and execution of catering events.
• Liaise with clients to capture requirements and dietary needs.
• Develop customized menu proposals and timelines.
• Coordinate with culinary team for timely, high-quality prep.
• Oversee on-site setup, service, and breakdown.
• Manage event budgets, invoicing, and expenses.
• Supervise staff during events and ensure professional service.
