Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Category Manager to drive category strategies across its retail portfolio, collaborating with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.

The role requires strong analytical, vendor negotiation skills, and leadership within a fast-paced environment; offers a hybrid work model with three days in Glen Rock, NJ and opportunities to grow with a national travel component.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of retail buying, category management, merchandising, or procurement experience.
• Strong experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.
• Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies that support sales growth, margin improvement, and overall business objectives.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising plans for assigned categories.
• Analyze sales, margin, market, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Lead annual vendor negotiations and develop joint business plans with suppliers.
• Forecast, budgets, and performance reporting; monitor product lifecycle and assortment changes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive category execution.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
