Job summary

Patcraft is seeking a designer to lead the development of commercial flooring products from concept through launch. You will translate customer and market needs into thoughtful design solutions, researching influences from art, textiles, interiors and materials to guide direction.

The role sits in Cartersville, GA, offering a hybrid schedule with 3–4 days in the Create Centre campus and collaboration with Fabrication and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in textile-related design field.
• Experience with textiles, carpet or soft flooring products preferred.
• Strong portfolio showing color, texture and pattern.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead innovative commercial flooring products from initial research and concept through commercialization and launch.
• Understand customer, market and business needs and translate them into thoughtful design solutions.
• Research influences across art, design, textiles, interiors and materials to inform product direction.
• Experiment hands-on with yarn, pattern, color, construction and manufacturing processes.
• Partner with Fabrication and Manufacturing to translate concepts into manufacturable products.
• Manage prototyping, color development, production setup, specifications, timelines and launch deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining design intent and quality.
• Collaborate in design reviews and contribute ideas across the team.
• Collaborate with Product Launch, Marketing, Brand, Digital, Segment, Manufacturing and Sales teams.
• Connect with Sales and customers to gather insights and communicate design vision.
• Travel for market research, customer visits, presentations, industry events and trade shows.
