Job summary

Schumacher & Co. in New York is seeking an Associate Production Designer to center on our custom carpet program.

You will translate client specifications into production-ready renderings and support the design artwork for Hospitality projects, while coordinating production from concept to installation with the Patterson Flynn team. Collaborate with overseas mill partners and the Hospitality sales team to bring client carpet designs to life, handling revisions, colorways, and delivery timelines

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of rug/carpet or textile design and production experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of rug constructions, fiber types, and performance characteristics.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Clear communicator with sales teams and overseas suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Create scaled digital artwork renderings for custom carpet requests.
• Translate client specifications into production-ready artwork files.
• Support revision cycles through to client sign-off and maintain archives.
• Send finalized artwork and color matches to vendors, digitally or via physical packages.
• Coordinate production coordination from concept to PO placement and freight coordination.
• Share project details and development updates with the Hospitality sales team.
