Job summary

Patcraft Commercial, a line under Shaw Industries Group, Inc., is seeking a Carpet Designer to advance textile and soft surface flooring concepts from idea to final product. You will collaborate with fabrication and manufacturing teams to explore materials and finishes while developing market-ready patterns for commercial spaces.

The role emphasizes hands-on design work, proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, and the ability to communicate design intent across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional design experiences.
• Experience in textiles, materials, surface design or physical product development is preferred and may include professional, internship or academic project work.
• Experience designing textiles, carpet, or soft surface flooring products.
• Ability to move between conceptual thinking and detailed execution, with organization and project-management skills to carry work through development.
• Strong collaborative, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; NedGraphics experience preferred.
