Job summary

Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) is hiring a Career Transition Counselor/Case Manager to support CW STEP, connecting participants to paid internships and career support. You will provide coaching, resume help, interview prep, and job search assistance.

The role works with adults through WIOA programs and fast track services, helping clients build skills and pursue apprenticeships and training opportunities, with a collaborative team approach and flexible work options.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of related experience required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to coach, teach, and facilitate with customers.
Comfort working in a hybrid in-person/virtual environment.
Understanding of fast-track service model and apprenticeships.
Knowledge of career exploration practices and labor market trends.

Responsibilities

Assists and guides customers with identifying their occupation of choice using career exploration tools.
Works with a diverse customer base to identify skill gaps.
Develops a detailed plan with customers to guide toward quality employment.
Assists customers with scholarships/internships and advocates for approval.
Provides active support on resume, cover letter, and interviewing.
Collaborates with community partners to coordinate supports for program services.
Maintains follow-up contact to ensure continued employment.
Applies SOPs for tracking and reporting customer activities.
