The Career Transition and Training Team at Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) is hiring a Career Transition Counselor/Case Manager to join a skilled, collaborative, and service-oriented team.
The primary function of this position is to support the Colorado Works Subsidized Training and Employment Program (CW STEP), which connects individuals facing significant barriers to employment with paid internship opportunities and career support. The position works directly with eligible participants referred through the Department of Human Services, providing career coaching, resume development, interview preparation, job search assistance, and ongoing support throughout and following their internship experience.
In addition to CW STEP, this position supports eligible adults through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, including Fast Track services, apprenticeships, training opportunities, and employment support. Through these programs, the Career Transition Counselor/Case Manager helps individuals build skills, overcome barriers, and connect to sustainable employment and career pathways.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a limited-term position through July 2027 and is primarily based at our office located at 200 W. Oak Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Hybrid remote work is available in accordance with Larimer County policies and operational needs.
