Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in West Nyack, NY to support planning, execution, and financial management of capital projects. You will partner with Project Managers, Finance, and stakeholders to track budgets, monitor costs, and prepare forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include project accounting activities such as invoice review, cost tracking, accruals, PO management, and budget reconciliation. Strong Excel and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Project Controls, Project Coordination, Assistant Project Management, Project Analysis, or Project Accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience using an ERP or project management system
• Strong project accounting experience, including budget tracking, cost management, invoice processing, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Experience supporting capital, construction, engineering, utility, or infrastructure projects
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, and data analysis)
• Experience preparing cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Track project budgets and costs across the project lifecycle
• Support forecasting and financial reporting for capital projects
• Assist with project accounting activities including invoices, accruals, and PO management
• Provide variance analysis and reporting to inform decision making
• Support schedule tracking and change management as needed
