Job summary

Popular, a leading financial institution in Puerto Rico, seeks a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business, product, and technology teams. You will translate objectives into actionable requirements and support end-to-end delivery across channels and processes.

You will partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and developers, creating clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs. Experience in digital banking or regulated products is a plus, and a hybrid work setup is

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
Experience working in cross-functional environments involving business, product, and technology teams.
Strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
Ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories.
Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, journey maps, or similar documentation.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Experience supporting digital banking, financial services, payments, security, fraud prevention, or other regulated customer-facing products is a plus.

Responsibilities

Partner Across Business, Product, and Technology with stakeholders and vendors to understand objectives.
Support translation of goals into functional requirements and solution specs.
Facilitate discovery sessions to refine requirements and ensure shared understanding.
Own requirements deliverables from discovery through implementation.
Ensure traceability and clarity of requirements for testing and delivery.
