Job summary

The University of Vermont is seeking a Business and Project Manager to provide integrated business administration and project management for the Office of Primary Care (OPC) and Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) programs in Burlington, VT.

You will manage budgeting, reporting, and grants-related activities, coordinate personnel processes, and act as a primary contact for PeopleSoft, facilities, and COMTS matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective financial management and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively respond to a wide variety of individuals and their varying needs including UVM, the regional AHECs, and the public.
• Demonstrated ability to attend to detail.
• Effective time-management skills and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines; Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to take initiative and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to use discretion regarding disclosure/dissemination/security of confidential/sensitive information.
• A commitment to continuous quality and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide business administration and project management for the OPC and AHEC programs.
• Manage finances: budgeting, year-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable in PeopleSoft and grants reporting compliance.
• Assist with budget development and funding proposals in UVMClick.
• Facilitate personnel management processes (new hires, effort certification, salary distributions).
• Serve as point person for OPC and AHEC on PeopleSoft matters, facilities and COMTS matters.
• Coordinate health workforce and medical education initiatives with the Program Director and AHEC faculty.
• Develop project processes, support recruitment/enrollment, track deliverables and grant timelines, funder reporting, stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with OPC leadership, SPA, Accounting, Procurement, and regional AHECs; report to OPC/AHEC Program Director.
