Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Building Automation Solutions Developer in a hybrid role in the United States. You will support sales with scope development, develop sequences of operations, and optimize energy with BAS knowledge across HVAC and mechanical systems.

Travel nationwide up to 20% is expected, with collaboration across customers, vendors, and internal teams. You will evaluate materials and pricing, assist with preconstruction opportunities, and help align estimates with Siemens standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, estimating, field, or design engineering supporting BAS (HVAC).
• Knowledge of BAS components, controllers, sensors, and interfaces.
• Experience reading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and specs.
• Ability to travel nationwide up to 20% and work with cross-functional teams.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales with scope development on opportunities lacking full detail.
• Develop scope of work for Siemens proposals using problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to drive clarity.
• Understand BAS to optimize energy efficiency via automation and controls.
• Evaluate materials and pricing; suggest substitutions meeting specs.
• Provide input on product selection and risk factors during cost reviews.
• Help develop sequences of operations and influence equipment choices.
• Review drawings and customer meetings to propose value-driven approaches.
• Participate in customer site visits and coordinate with estimators and operations.
• Assist with pre-construction opportunities and multi-project timelines.
