Job summary

Siemens invites undergraduates to join the Smart Buildings Internship in the San Diego area. The 10-week program rotates through Building Automation Solutions and Service Sales teams, focusing on sales initiatives, customer engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive energy-efficient building solutions.

Starting May–June 2027, interns work full-time, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to learn from Sales Managers and gain hands-on experience in CRM, prospecting, and proposal

Qualifications

• Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at a U.S. college or university.
• Majors include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing.
• Availability: 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May–July or June–August).
• Relocation: No relocation assistance or housing stipend provided; must work at the branch office location.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; visa holders are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers and support delivery of outcomes.
• Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings.
• Visit customer sites with Solutions and Services Sales Teams.
• Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
• Work with internal resources to obtain the sale.
