Job summary

AECOM's transportation team in Greenville, SC is seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to join the bridge/structures group. This position begins as soon as possible and offers hands-on training in design and analysis with supervision.

The role involves performing calculations, sketches and final drawings using MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer, and researching design options while learning standard practices. A bachelor's in Civil Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience in CADD/drafting is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Performs basic engineering design, calculations, sketches, and drawings under supervision.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Creates bridge designs using MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer.
• Develops awareness of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under supervision.
• Researches design options and code reviews to support the project team.
• Communicates and collaborates with the design team.
• Supports development of drawings and specifications.
• Follows detailed technical instructions for design.
• Develops details and awareness of QMS procedures.
