Job summary

Allen Institute in Seattle is seeking a Scientific Project and Alliance Manager to drive Brain Science accelerator initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, plan internal and external meetings, and manage deliverables and timelines for critical projects. The role requires Ph.D.

in biological sciences (neuroscience preferred) with PM experience, in addition to budgeting and grants management skills. This is a hybrid Seattle-area position with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biological sciences or equivalent with Neuroscience focus preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of project management experience beyond academia for Ph.D. holders; minimum 6 years for MS holders.
• Proficiency with project management, collaboration management and efficiency software; experience managing project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Manager for multiple brain science accelerator projects in partnership with scientific co-leads.
• Support cross-functional teams through planning and execution across the project lifecycle.
• Plan, run and document internal and external project meetings with clear agendas and follow-ups.
• Create and maintain project deliverables and timelines using PM best practices.
• Contribute to fiscal management including budget planning and resource forecasting.
• Develop and implement communication plans to promote effective dialogue among team members.
• Prepare for internal and external project reviews and assist with competitive external funding applications.
