Job summary

Boston Ballet is seeking a detail-oriented Box Office Associate to deliver high-touch customer service for over 200,000 patrons annually. You will handle phone, mail, email, and in-person interactions at our Boston venues, while maintaining familiarity with the season, Tessitura, and box office policies.

Responsibilities include processing thousands of orders, resolving issues, and assisting in opening/closing procedures during performance weeks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales and customer service.
• Strong customer service skills; professional, enthusiastic, and accurate with numbers and details.
• Flexible, positive attitude with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word; experience with Tessitura a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process approximately 20K orders annually for 80K tickets and $4M in revenue.
• Maintain accurate daily sales reconciliation.
• Provide high-quality customer service and problem solve complex issues.
• Maintain knowledge of season, company, venue, and Tessitura for customer guidance.
• Open/close box office, manage cash drawers, and assist during performances.
