United Future in Boston, MA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice. Hybrid work arrangement with meaningful litigation responsibility and direct client interaction.

The role requires a JD from an accredited law school, Massachusetts Bar admission, and 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience. Candidates should have strong drafting, deposition, and courtroom skills, plus the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing.
• 3-7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams preferred.
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
