Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group seeks a mid-level BMS Engineer/Consultant II- IV for projects in Richmond, VA or Chicago, IL. You will build controls designs, prepare drawings and specifications, and support project execution across Aviation, Critical Facilities, Healthcare, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 18 months to 7+ years’ experience in HVAC controls as a consultant/engineer.
• Knowledge of HVAC/electrical instrumentation design and building control sequences.
• Knowledge of building IT infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent organizational skills; multi-tasking.
• Good communication skills; industry publications a plus.
• EIT a plus; ASHRAE/CABA involvement a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BMS drawings, sequencing of operations, and specifications; perform design calculations.
• Assist in selecting equipment for building systems and writing reports.
• Project execution support including reviewing submittals and RFIs.
• Attend project meetings interfacing with clients and contractors.
