KPFF Consulting Engineers in Seattle seeks a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support project accounting and financial administration across multiple disciplines. The role involves ensuring timely invoicing, project setup, cost reporting, and close collaboration with project managers and leaders to monitor financial performance.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree with accounting emphasis, at least 2 years of billing experience, and strong MS Excel skills.

Qualifications

• AA degree with accounting/finance emphasis
• Minimum 2 years related billing experience
• Solid understanding of basic accounting process
• Proficient in MS Excel and Office Suite
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team and take initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process and track client billing invoices in an accurate and timely manner
• Read contracts and interpret billing requirements
• Project setup, including bill structure, rate and classification information
• Payables entry of sub-consultant invoices
• Create cost reports in BST 10 Global accounting software
• Project cost reporting for clients with special requirements
• Manage accounts receivables on projects
• Work closely with Project Coordinators and Project Managers for reporting and invoice approvals
