Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to join a hybrid team supporting wholesale billing across our radiology and oncology services network. The role emphasizes data-driven insights, invoice accuracy, and contract compliance to strengthen revenue cycles.

You will audit invoices, prepare ad hoc reports, and drive improvements with stakeholders across operations, sales, and finance. A background in medical billing and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivables, revenue cycle, or healthcare financial operations.
• Ability to interpret financial data, billing reports, CPT/HCPCS codes, and contract terms.
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and billing/ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and professional client communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing and collections data to identify trends and root causes of denials and discrepancies.
• Build dashboards, aging reports, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Audit wholesale invoices for accuracy and track SLA performance.
• Support month-end close with data validation and variance analysis.
• Lead process improvements to reduce errors and shorten cycle times.
• Collaborate with field ops, sales, and contract teams on service delivery and billing corrections.
