Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to join a hybrid team focused on data analytics, billing accuracy, and process improvement across wholesale billing. You will analyze billing data, build dashboards, audit invoices, and support month‑end close to ensure contract‑compliant, error‑free invoices for commercial clients.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication to handle client inquiries while driving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years in medical billing, accounts receivables, revenue cycle, or healthcare financial ops.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data, billing reports, and contract terms.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort with billing/ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to handle client inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing, collections, and operational data to identify trends and root causes of denials and SLA issues.
• Build dashboards, aging reports, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Audit wholesale invoices for accuracy and track SLA performance.
• Support month‑end close with data validation and variance analysis.
• Lead process improvements across wholesale billing to reduce errors and cycle times.
• Assist with system enhancements, contract audits, and revenue cycle projects.
• Coordinate with field operations, sales, and contract teams to resolve disputes.
