Job summary

SmartestEnergy Limited is seeking a Billing Analyst to support monthly invoicing for retail customers, verify rates, and assist with product setup in the billing system. The role uses our Billing System and Salesforce CRM in a hybrid work arrangement, with 2-3 days in-office at Syracuse, NY or Houston, TX.

The position offers a base salary range of 60,000 to 80,000 USD annually, with eligibility for a company bonus and opportunities for growth within US offices.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Billing/Operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Admin, CS, Data Analytics or related field.
• Retail Energy and/or Billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure billing accuracy and resolve rejections.
• Maintain billing curves and components in the Billing system.
• Generate customer invoices and review for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Sales and Account Management for correct setup.
• Analyze billing trends and variances to identify root causes.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor billing performance.
• Reconcile data across Billing System, Salesforce, and contracts.
• Support billing inquiries and disputes with clear calculations.
