Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
• Requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiates with claimants or their attorneys.
• Sets settlements and reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyzes medical reports and follows up with no-fault parties.
• Interviews and documents information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police.
